As our Analyst you will work closely with the Senior Analyst and Director of Operations - Mental Health Addictions & Intellectual Disability Service 3DHB, actively manage data and information flow so the service’s performance can be measured, monitored and improved.

In addition to other tasks, you will;

  • Monitor and improve quality and collection processes of Programme for the Integration of Mental Health Data (PRIMHD) information
  • Define and audit the business process standards for MHAIDS patient administration systems as per the requirements of PRIMHD 
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of clinical and operational business processes for the MHAIDS Client Pathway 
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) and the Business Intelligence Units 
  • Support the National Mental Health & Addictions KPI Benchmarking Program 
  • Deliver analytical reports as requested by the service, including external Official Information Act (OIAs) requests
  • Continually explore data and process improvement opportunities


  • Relevant Tertiary level qualification 
  • Demonstrated technical ability and leadership skills
  • Health Sector experience preferred
  • Knowledge/experience of data analytics, data quality audits and quality improvement processes and experience implementing them
  • Ability to engage and build professional relationships across sectors, professions and groups 
  • SQL or other database management experience will be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, PPT, Visio, etc.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail
