Mental Health Support Worker - Rangatahi


Location: Kenepuru Hospital, Porirua

Contract: Permanent, Full time

The Regional Rangatahi Adolescent Inpatient Service (RRAIS) is a 13 bed unit serving the Central Region DHBs.  We are a bicultural service based on kaupapa Maori frameworks combined with mainstream research based psychiatry approaches.

We are looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to provide assistance to the health care team, by focusing on the patient’s comfort and performing delegated patient care duties, including completing personal cares and service activities as required


  • Support Patient Care
  • Maintaining a safe environment for our consumers
  • Housekeeping Activities
  • Work co-operatively with all the Heath Care Team

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of level 3 NZQA National Certificate in Community Health Support Services (or equivalent)
  • Valid Drivers licence
