About the role

The Workforce Coordinator (Te Whare ō Matairangi) is a new role and is responsible for ensuring that there is an effective and appropriate allocation of staffing to deliver the clinical and operational requirements of the service. The position reports to the Operations Manager, MHAIDS Operations Centre and is required to work closely with the Team Leader (T/L) and ACNM’s (Associate Charge Nurse Manager) for Te Whare ō Matairangi. In addition to the day to day workforce requirements the Workforce Coordinator will be expected to contribute to and, as appropriate, lead projects designed to improve effective workforce allocation within the service, aligning with the principles of TrendCare/Care Capacity Demand Management.This is a nursing role, and would suit someone who has a strong interest in quality and patient safety.

 

Duties

  • Manage the roster for the service, ensuring that there is safe and effective allocation of staff to meet CCDM requirements
  • Ensure any rostering requirements are covered to support staff have up to date training competencies and supervision
  • Lead and develop on any initiatives regarding workforce

 

Skills & Experience

  • Solid experience in nursing practice and current annual practicing certificate
  • Knowledge and experience in human resources/occupational health and safety would be an advantage
  • High level of computer literacy and knowledge of Office suite

The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3DHB sub-region – greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
